Lack of alloying elements like one found in stainless steel means that iron into the mild steel is oxidation subjective, if not coated well. About making of mild steel-

Mild steel is fabricated similar to that of other carbon steels. Common technique this is done is involving coal and iron ore combination. Once the iron ore and coal is extracted, they are melted at the blast furnace are together.
