Tensile strength runs between 360 MPa and 510 MPa, and elongation holds at a minimum of 26% on a standard gauge length.
Carbon content stays below 0.17% for plates up to 16 mm thick, with manganese capped at 1.40%, phosphorus at 0.035%, and sulfur at 0.035%. That chemistry keeps the material readily weldable using standard arc processes, without preheat on ordinary section thicknesses.
